Set Up an Automatic Resend While Creating a Campaign
Instead of remembering to resend a campaign afterwards, you can plan the follow-up when you build the original. The resend then runs on its own and is visible in your campaign list.
Turn on the automatic resend
- Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns and create or open a campaign.
- Click Send or Schedule and set up the message as usual.
- Switch on the resend option.
- Choose how long to wait before the resend, for example two days.
- Enter a new subject line for the second send.
- Send or schedule the campaign.
Track and change it
A campaign with a pending resend shows Waiting in the status column. Open the three-dot menu to:
- Change the waiting time.
- Cancel the scheduled resend.
How it behaves
- Only contacts who did not open the original receive the resend.
- If you cancel the original campaign, its resend is not sent either.
- Batch and RSS campaigns support resends too.
- Resends only target unopened emails. To follow up with people who clicked but did not buy, build a Workflow.
Tips for better results
Use a different angle in the subject line, and review the statistics of both sends to see what worked.
Good to know: Pick a wait time long enough for most people to have seen the first email, usually two to three days.
