Offer Optional Line Items in a Quote

If you sell add-ons or optional services, you don't need to create a separate document for every possible combination. Vendi Today lets a signer pick and choose which items they want directly on the document before they sign.

How it works

When you build a product/pricing list inside a document, you can mark individual items as Optional. The signer then sees a checklist-style list and can select or unselect the optional items — required items stay locked in, but they control the extras.

You can also allow the signer to edit quantity on an item, with minimum and maximum limits you set, rather than leaving it fixed.

Setting it up

1. In the document editor, add a product list element.
2. Add each product or service line you want to include.
3. Toggle Optional Item on for anything the signer should be able to choose or skip.
4. Toggle Edit Quantity on for anything where the signer should be able to adjust the amount, and set your min/max if needed.

What happens at signing

As the signer selects or deselects items, the total amount on the document updates live to reflect only what they've chosen to include. This total is what ultimately determines the price on any invoice tied to the document.

It turns a single template into a flexible quote — useful for service packages, add-on options, or tiered offers — without you needing to build and maintain a separate document for every combination a client might want.
